HAWMC Prompt 28: I Used To Be...

I'm participating in WEGO Health's Health Activist Writer's Month Challenge (HAWMC) in April.

Today's challenge is to write a short story or poem, where every sentence starts with the phrase "I used to be" and ends with "but I'm not anymore."
I used to be active, but I'm not anymore.
I used to be (more) confident, but I'm not anymore.
I used to be quick-witted, but I'm not anymore.
I used to be scholarly, but I'm not anymore.
I used to be independent, but I'm not anymore.
I used to be isolated, but I'm not anymore.
I used to be terrified, but I'm not anymore.
